Malas are the waste substances expelled from the body in its healthy
condition. The three important malas are purisha (feaces) mutra (
urine) and sweda ( sweat). Feaces are eliminated through the colon,
urine through the kidney and sweat through the pores of the skin.
In general, the malas are eliminated by the dhatus during metabolism,
if the elimination of the malas is in any way disrupted, derangement
of the functions of the dhatus occours which causes imbalance in the
equilibrium of the doshas.
