The Ambalavayal heritage museum has one of Kerala's largest collection
of articles dating far back into the 2nd century A.D.Near the Ambukuthi
hill region is this heritage museum housing artifacts and belongings
of the various tribes of the land. The exhibits here are evidence
of an advanced civilisation that existed in the mountains of Wayanad
nearly two millenniums ago.The exhibits here include rare 2nd century
artefacts such as clay sculptures, ancient hunting equipments like
bows and arrows, stone weapons and other curios. The articles on display
are a fascination for the historian, the archaeologist and the ordinary
