The famed Sarkara Bhagvathi temple is situated at Sarkara
village, near Chirayinkeezhu railway station. The festivals celebrated
in this temple are Kaliyoottu in Kumbham and Bharani in Meenam (February-March).
Kaliyoottu is celebrated to commemorate the fight between Darika and
Bhadrakali.
