Aanaparambu Dharmashastha Temple
This temple is situated at Thalavadi panchayat in Alappuzha district
on the Thiruvalla - Thakazhi route, three kilometers near to the famous
Chakkulathukavu temple. It is an old temple and the presiding deity
is Sasthavu, which is a self conceived idol facing towards west. Poojas
are conducted twice, administering the text from Puthumana thanthra.
With an Aarattu on the Uthram star day, the temple festival lasts
for eight days. The epic says that a harijan lady while cutting grass,
found blood on a rock, and the spiritual presence was discovered.
