Sree Ananda Padmanabha swami Temple is situated about six kilometers southeast of Kumbala. In the middle of the temple is a the temple tank with a crocodile in it and it is the only one of its kind in kerala. This eighth century temple has marvellous mural paintings and wood carvings. The main festivals are Vishu, Ashtami and Rohini.
