Sree Durgabhagavathi Temple is situated at varakkal, five kilometers north of kozhikkodu on the western side of highway ( 500 meters to the sea ) situatedon a hill. there are a few caves on the bottom of the rocks with sculptures. New moon day is important and vavu bali is conducted. (Oblations to the Manes) Festival is in the New Moon ( Karutha Vavu) in thulam and is very auspicious.
