Thakazhy Sree Dharma Sastha Temple
Thakazhy Sree Dharma Sastha Temple 6 kms east of Ambalapuzha. 8 days
festival in Kumbhom. A peculiar oil prepared with several natural
oils and herbs is a medicine for Rheumatic pains and available to
the devotees.
This temple is situated six kilometers away from Ambalapuzha at
Thakazhi in Allappuzha district. The presiding deity is Shasthavu
who is facing east. Five poojas are offered in a day following the
Manayathattu thantric rites. There is no sub deities in this temple.
An eight day festival is celebrated with an Aarattu which falls on
the Uthram star day on the Malayalam month of Kumbham. Kalamezhuthu
Pattu is conducted here.
