Thirumala Devaswom Temple ernakulam town owned by the gowda saraswatha community. this wealthy temple has the biggest bell in south india. the ringing can hear at a distance of 15 kilometers. The sandal wood palanquin ( garuda vahana ) covered with gold and decorated with silver, is taken out for arattu procession in makarom ( Dec - Jan ), carrying the idol of venkateswara is a rare one in kerala.
