Thirunelly Mahavishnu Temple
Thirunelly Mahavishnu Temple is situated near Brahmagiri peak (1400
meters above sea level ), ten kilometers from Karadikulam (northeast
of Mananthavady) 1000 years old granite aquaduct is still in use to
bring water to temple. the main buildings were demolished by the invasion
of Tippu Sulthan and part of the temple pillars are still there. A
dip in the holy waters of Papanasini is believed to wipe away all
the sins committed through generations and give the devotee salvation.
