Thrupparappu Mahadeva Temple of 5th century, near the waterfall of kodayar river with sparkling waters. this place is an attractive picnic spot with enchanting landscape. The idol of siva is supposed to be in fierce form as Veerabhadra, Ambal, Ganapathi, Ambadi Krishna, Muruga are the other images here, 20 kms northeast of Thakkalai and 25 kms to Nagerkovil. for stay the above two places are convenient. from kuzhitharai 14 kms southeast ( a good camping site).
