1. wash and soak gram overnight with soda bicarbonate .2. Cook garam
till tender .3. Add powdered cardamom ,cinnamon ,cumin ,cloves ,pepper
,coriander and cool .4. Heat half of the fat . Fry sliced onion,turmeric
and chilli powder .5. Add gram ,tomatoes ansd whole green chillies
.6. Continue cooking and mash gram . 7. Just before removing from
the fire add tamarind juice and salt .8.Boil potatoes and slice .9.
Fry half of the sliced sliced potatoes and add to the gram . 10 .
Serve garnished with boiled and sliced potatoes and chopped coriander
leaves .
