Lime Rasam

Lime Rasam

ingredients for 4
water 3 cups
lime 1/2 -1
garlic a small clove
ginger a small piece
cumin a small pinch
coriander seeds 1/2 tsp
turmeric a small pinch
coriander leaves a few sprig
salt to taste
for tempering  
asafoetida a small pinch
curry leaves 1 sprig
red chilli 1
mustard seeds a few
oil 1/2 tsp

Method

1. Crush together garlic, ginger , cumin and coriander seeds .2. Mix with lime juice ,water,salt , turmeric and coriander leaves . 3. Bring to boil.Simmer for a few minutes . Remove from fire .4. Heat oil ,add curry leaves ,broken red chilli,asafoetida and mustard seeds .As seeds crackle ,pour rasam into the pan . Reheat and remove .
