ingredients for 4
sprouted field beans 75 gm
snake gourd 225 gm
chilli powder 5 gm
salt to taste
coriander cumin powder 5 gm
mustard seeds a pinch
asafoetida a pinch
turmeric a pinch
oil 10 gm
jaggery a little
grated coconut 15 gm
coriander leaves 15 gm

Method

1. Sprout the field beans and soak them in warm water for two hours and skin .2. Heat fat .Add mustard seeds .When they crackle ,add asafoetida and turmeric .3. Add field beans and water and cook till three-fourths done .4 Wash and cut the snake gourd into two pieces and then cut into slices .5. Add to the field beans .Add chilli powder ,jaggery and salt .6. Cook till snake gourd is done .7. Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves and serve hot .
