Parishi Dal

ingredients for 4
split red gram 120 gm
turmeric 1/2 tsp
salt 2 tsp
water 4 cups
clarified butter 1 tbsp
garlic 2 cloves
cumin 1/2 tsp

Method

1. Cook the gram and turmeric in half the amount of water till the gram is tender .Drain and mash . Add salt and keep it aside .Heat clarrified butter . Add fionely chopped garlic and cumin and fry till the cumin is brown . Add finely chopped garlic and cumin and fry till the cumin is bring to boil .This dal should be like a very thick soup .Serve hot with boiled rice .
