1. Wash the red gram and boil with turmeric powder .Mash when tender
.2. Wash and cut drumsticks into 5 cm pieces . 3. Soak tamarind in
3 cups of water for about half an hour ,extract the juice and strain
it . 4. Add to the tamarind juice ,sambar powder ,salt , asafoetida
,curry leaves and drumsticks and boil for 20 minutes .5.Fry red chillies
,fenugreek ,coriander seeds and channa dal in one teaspoon of oil
and powder finely . 6. To the tamarind mixture ,add this finely powdered
masala and then the cooked gram .7. Temper with mustard seeds and
mix well .
