Masala Fried Fish

Masala Fried Fish

ingredients for 4
pomfret 500 gm
oil for frying 50 ml
masala  
kashmiri chillies 10 gm
ginger a small piece
cumin a pinch
mustard seeds a small pinch
cinnamon a small pinch
cloves 2
peppercorns 6
tamarind 10 gm
onion 15 gm
salt to taste
vinegar 20 ml

Method

1. Wash,scale and trim the fins of the fish .2. Remove the intestines and bones . 3. Wash again in vinegar .Make gashes on the fish .4. Grind the spices and salt and stuff the fish ;smear outside as well .5. Tie up with a piece of twine .Allow to stand for a while to let fish absorb the spices .6. Shallow fry and serve hot .
