1. Chop onions and green chillies fine . 2. Open the tin of the tuna
.Put into a dish .Flake .3. Mix together grated coconut ,chopped tomato
,green chillies ,onions ,oil and pepper .4.Break eggs and mix and
blend with the mixture .Add the tuna . Add salt to taste .5. Take
2 or 3 banana leaves .Hold over the fire to fade them slightly .5.
Place mixture on banana leaf . Wrap one over the other .7. Tie together
and bake for 45 minutes .8. Remove and place under the grill for about
5 minutes on both sides . 9. Open and serve in a plate in the banana
leaf itself .
N.B.Tuna appam can be roasted in hot ash ,if desired .
