Plum Pudding

ingredients quantity
flour 85 gm
bread crumbs 55 gm
finely chopped suet or margarine 115 gm
brown sugar 115 gm
eggs 3
nutmeg a pinch
brown sugar 115 gm
eggs 3
nutmeg a pinch
mixed spice 1/2 tsp
salt a pinch
sultanas 55 gm
currants or black raisins 115 gm
mixed peel 55 gm
almonds or cashewnuts 30 gm
lemon 1/2
valencia raisins 115 gm
brandy 15 ml

Method

1. Put flour and breadcrumps into a basin . 2. Add all the dry ingredients and well -beaten eggs and beat teh mixture to a stiff consistency.3. Put into a well -grease pudding mould .4. Press down and steam for 4-6 hours .5. Steam again for 2 hours before serving .6. Serve with custard sauce or rum butter .
