ingredients for 4
shoulder of mutton 500 gm
onions 115 gm
carrots 225 gm
turnips 115 gm
stock 590 ml
refined flour 30 gm
salt to taste
pepper to taste
fat 30 gm
dumpling  
refined flour 55 gm
fat 30 gm
baking powder 1/2 tsp
salt a pinch
onions 15 gm
parsley 1 sprig

Method

stew

1. Prepare a brown stew .2.Put the dumpling in the stew 40 minutes before removing from fire . 3. Place the stew in a hot dish sourrounded by the dumplings .

Dumpligs

1. Mix the dry ingredients .2. Rub in fat . Add chopped onions and parsley. 3. Add sufficient water to make a light dough .4. Divide into even-sized balls . 5. Cook in stew for 40 minutes .
