Bread Sauce

Bread Sauce

Serve with roast poultry ,patridge ,pheasant etc .

ingredients quantity
milk 300 ml
onion 30 gm
margarine 30 gm
fresh breadcrumbs 45 gm
cloves 2
mace 1 blade
lemon rind 1 lemon
salt to taste
pepper a pinch

Method

1. Simmer onion stuck with clove and mace in milk for half an hour .2. Put breadcrumbs , margrine and seasoning into a bowl . 3. Strain flavoured milk over teh breadcrum mixture . 4. Stand in a warm place to thicken .5. Reheat and beat well . One tbsp of cream may be added if desired .
