ingredients quantity
raw rice 910 gm
coconut 2
cumin 2 tsp
gingelly seeds 2 tsp
salt to taste

Method

1. Soak rice in water for 2 to 3 hours . 2. Drain well and powder . 3. Sieve through a coarse sieve .4.Mix grated coconut with flour throughly and set aside .5. Heat a wide ,shallow and thick -bottomed pan .Put in the cumin and gingelly seeds . 6. When the seeds splutter add the rice mixture . Stir well .7. As the rice flour starts browning ,remove and spread lightly on sheets of papper and cool .8.If there are lumps ,break and sieve. 9. Tin and use. Served with granulated sugar in powdered form or mixed with molasses or sugar syrup and made into balls.

N.B. If sugar is used ,prepare sugar syrup of one-string consistency . Add lime juice ,keep overnight .Reheat .Add avilos powder and shape into balls.
