ingredients qunatity
rice flour 1 kg
bengal gram flour 500 gm
black gram flour 25 gm
buttermilk 100 ml
bottle gourd 500 gm
oil 250 gm
mustard seeds 5 gm
asafoetida 8 gm
masala  
green chillies 25 gm
onions 50 gm
cinnamon ,cardamoms and cloves 8 gm
turmeric 8 gm
coriander 40 gm
salt to taste

Method

1. Grind masala to a fine paste . Mix the three types of flour with buttermilk ,add more water to make a pouring consistency.2. Add masala and peeled and grated bottle gourd to the mixture .3. Heat oil in a thick pan . When hot ,add mustard seeds and asafoetida.4. When the mustard seeds crackle ,pour the oil in the mixture .5. Mix well and leave it for about 12 hours to ferment .6. Pour in to shallow ovenproof containers and bake the mixture for about 40 minutes .7. Serve with green chutney .
