Chana Dal Toffee

ingredients quantity
split bengal gram 225 gm
coconut 1
sugar 450 gm
fat 1 tbsp
almond 55 gm
pistachio nuts 30 gm
saffron a pinch
cardamom and nutmeg powder 1 tsp
vanilla essence 1 tsp

Method

1. Blanch almods .2. Cut nuts in to thin slices 3. Grate coconut .4. Wash and boil bengal gram . When boiled grind on a stone .5. Mix together ground gram ,grated coconut and sugar and cook on a slow fire .6. When mixture leaves the sides of the pan and forms a lump ,add flavouring .7. Add prepared nuts .8. Remove on to a gerased thal or tray . Mark into squares .9. When cold ,cut into pieces .
