ingredients quantity
dough  
refined flour 30 gm
semolina 85 gm
fat 30 gm
salt a pinch
milk and water as required  
oil for frying  
filling  
mawa 30 gm
fresh coconut 55 gm
sugar 1 tbsp
poppy seeds 1 tsp
sulatanas 10 gm

Method

1. Rub the fat in to the flour and semolina . Add salt and liquid to make a fairly stiff dough .2. Set aside for half an hour .3. Break into pieces . Apply a little fat and knead each piece throughly till smooth .4. Roll into rounds of 5 -8 cm . diameter . 5. Put filling in the centre . Fold over . Seal edges with a little water .6. Deep fry till light brown . Drain and tin .

1. Pass mawa through a sieve .2. Mix with grated coconut and sugar .3. Add powdered poppy seeds and sultanas if used . Mix well and use as required .
