1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt . Rub in 2 tsp fat . Add
sufficient water to make a soft dough .2. Cook gram until soft . Grind
coarsely with jaggery .3. mix well and cook over a slow fire till
thick and it gives out a pleasant aroma .4. Add cardamom powder .
Make in to small balls .5. Take a marble -size portion of dough .
Roll thin .6. Put the filling in the centre and press ends together
. Flatten over a banana leaf smeared with fat or the back of a stainless
steel pan . 7. Shallow fry on griddle .8. Serve with pure ghee and
milk .
