Cheese Ball Curry

Cheese Ball Curry

ingredients for 4
Cheese 225 gm
refine flour 115 gm
eggs 4
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying  
gravy  
onions 60 gm
garlic 2 flakes
ginger a small piece
tomato puree 30 ml
chilli powder 1/2 tsp
dried plums 60 gm
fat 60 gm
turmeric a pinch
coriander leaves a few

Method

Cheese balls

1. Sieve flour ,salt and pepper .Add finely grated cheese . 2. Beat egg yolks and add to dry ingredients .Mix well . 3. let the mixture stand for at least 1/2 hour .4. Heat oil .while oil is heating beat egg whites stiff and fold into the hot oil. 6. Remove as they turn a light gloden brown color.7. Drain on absorbent paper .

N.B. Do not allow to fry too long or else the cheese balls become tough .

Gravy

1. Grind together onions,garlic ,ginger ,chilli powder and turmeric .2. Heat fat . Add ground spices .3. Add tomato puree,plums and a little water . Simmer for 5 minutes .4. Add fried cheese balls and simmer for another 2-3 minutes . 5. Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves .
