Roads

 The N.H.47  stretches from Parassala at the southern extremity  to Paripally in the north, covering a distance of 80kms within the district. The State
Highway (MC Road)  covers a distance of  55Kms and passes through Kesavadaspuram,  Vembayam, Venjaramoodu , Kilimanoor and Nilamel  in the north. PWD maintains about 1552 kms of road in the district. Local bodies maintain 9500 kms of road.

There are 116 bridges in Thiruvananthapuram District.

Power

All the villages in the district have been electrified. These come under two circles of the KSEB. One in the city and one at Kattakada.

Air Links

Trivandrum is a very highly connected city, with one international and one domestic terminal. The Airport is by the beach and only 6 Kms from the center of town. The runways can accomodate Airbusses and Jumbo Jets. There are regular flights to and from the city.

Rail Links

Trivandrum is well connected to the rest of the coutry by Broad Guage Line. 82 Kms of Rail Lines Pass through the district.
